Black Sun Empire and State of Mind are pairing up once more to bring their unique take on drum and bass to their very loyal Kiwi fans.

Taking over Neck of the Woods on September 3rd, BSE +SOM will be going back to back for an extended set, sharing the new and drawing from a massive back catalogue of years of working together.

Long term collaborators, BSE + SOM recently released "The Violent Five" ­ a 6 track EP filled to the brim with the dark and twisty drum and bass we love from the boys ­ and features an appearance from another Kiwi legend, Tiki, on Skin Crawler.

BLACK SUN EMPIRE (NL)

Black Sun Empire represent the finest in dark and tech fueled dance‐floor drum & bass. Since bursting onto the scene back in 2000, they’ve continued to develop their own unique style and sound, releasing numerous singles as well as four full‐length LPs and establishing themselves as leaders in the field. With their impressive DJ skills and inspirational productions, Black Sun Empire have reached far beyond their native Holland. They’ve toured the world over, with highlights including Glastonbury and numerous other festival appearances, and continue to build on their growing reputation as some of the most exciting and consistent performers around. Their fifth LP ‘From The Shadows’ was released to acclaim in 2012.

Our very own State of Mind have long out‐grown our fair shores, with four acclaimed albums behind them, they are true drum n bass rockstars. Their fourth album, released in 2014 on Blackout Music was voted album of the Year at the Drum n Bass Arena annual awards, adding to their fine catalogue of acclaim that began with anthems like Sunking and Real McCoy way back in 2005.
