The celebrations continue with our much-loved Community Whānau Day, transforming the lakefront and Dinosaur Park into bustling hubs of creativity and entertainment. This year’s programme features the ever popular local dance collaboration with Fantail Creative and Centralpoint Dance Studios, Foundations, high-energy United Dance Crew, dazzling aerial performances by Silk & Circus, and musical chaos from the Backyard Skiffle Show that you’re all invited to participate in. Enjoy performances by Mount Aspiring College’s senior bands and roaming drama students, cultural groups via Welcoming Communities, and festival favourite Fraser Hooper with his hilarious clowning antics.

Adding to the excitement, The People’s Oracle will share wisdom, quirky characters will roam the streets, and interactive art by Mint Trust and installations by Wānaka Primary will be on display. The day will finish with Creative Juices in the Crystal Palace - an open mic night for original spoken word and music.

Bike in, walk in, or boat in, and join us for a day of free events, promising something for everyone, with ethnic food stalls and festivities showcasing the talent and diversity of our community, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Wānaka.

Visit our website for the full programme schedule available in mid February.
